About brevi

brevi

From finishes to spaces, we understand the complete relationship between decorative surfaces and interiors.

By bringing together finishes, substrates, surface feel, edge banding, and application references, we help homeowners understand and confirm materials while enabling designers, showrooms, and custom furniture manufacturers to communicate material proposals more clearly.

Brand

A decorative surface is more than a finish.

brevi brings together finishes, surfaces, substrates, edge banding, and spatial application to help homeowners, designers, showrooms, and furniture manufacturers select, discuss, and confirm the same finished decorative panel.

A finished decorative panel presents more than color.

It also includes surface sheen and tactility, the substrate’s application limits, the completeness of edge banding, and the relationships of scale, direction, and light when the material enters a real space.

brevi takes simplicity as its foundation and individuality as its expression. The Chinese name "Beiwei" reflects an understanding of materials’ warm tactility and their multidimensional relationships.

Brand Origin

Why brevi?

brevi was not created because the market lacked another kind of panel.

Materials should not be understood in isolation.

In a complete interior project, homeowners care about environmental performance, the finished result, and everyday use; designers focus on spatial expression; showrooms guide material selection; furniture manufacturers consider processing and installation; and the supply chain ensures stable material delivery.

Each stage fulfills its own role, but the final result is formed by all of them together.

The same finish can look entirely different depending on the substrate, surface texture, grain direction, edge banding, and processing method. Once placed in a real interior, color temperature, illuminance, and the direction of light also affect how people perceive its color, texture, and gloss; different surface textures create different tactile qualities and layers of light and shadow.

A material is never simply a color swatch detached from its environment.

Many problems do not first appear during production or installation; they are already embedded at the moment a material is selected, coordinated, and assigned its intended use.

For that reason, brevi does not seek to add one more material. It seeks to establish a complete selection logic spanning finishes, substrates, surfaces, edge banding, processing, and spatial application, so materials can be understood more fully across design, manufacturing, delivery, and use.

Material & Manufacturing

From Material Systems to Consistent Execution.

The final result of a finished decorative panel is not determined by any single decor paper, production press plate, or piece of equipment.

Finish design, decorative materials, surface embossing, substrates, lamination parameters, and quality control must be adapted within each product to achieve consistent color, texture, tactility, and delivery results.

02Embossing Press Plate

HUECK Rheinische, Germany

A 2020 purchase document supports that brevi was a HUECK Rheinische GmbH customer and purchased AISI 630 stainless-steel production press plates. It does not establish a current exclusive relationship, continued supply, or use of HUECK plates across all products.

Decor paper, production press plates, lamination equipment, and process control jointly influence the final surface. Specific usage relationships and applicable products follow the corresponding evidence and product documents.

Source boundary: the HAPCO website supports its founding year, export regions, and short-cycle press information. Specific equipment models and performance parameters still require the relevant technical or acceptance documents.

Substrates

Multiple Substrates, Evaluated by Application

The Brevi Surface System evaluates substrate options by application. Actual suitability follows product documentation and project conditions.

Imported VECO Surface Substrate

Imported

VECO is a particleboard substrate manufactured in Vietnam by Vina Eco Board Co., Ltd., a member of the Sumitomo Forestry Group, and is available as an imported substrate option for brevi finished decorative panels. For consumers, it provides a substrate choice with a traceable source and processing path: products specifically identified as using VECO can be checked through the board edge print, finished-product security label, authorization documents, and retained offcuts, while decorative lamination and related processing are completed in China. Specific dimensions, grades, surface appearance, and suitable applications still follow the relevant product documents, test reports, and physical samples.

Evidence boundary: VECO is only one optional substrate. The Jiangxi authorization is limited by its stated term and territory. Report Z26W41115 supports only the submitted imported VECO decorative-panel sample and its stated ENF-grade result; it does not represent every VECO substrate, finished-panel configuration, or production batch.

Custom Moisture-Resistant Low-Odor LSB

Custom-made in China

Custom moisture-resistant low-odor LSB draws on the panel-manufacturing system of a company controlled by Guangxi State-owned Paiyangshan Forest Farm, connecting plantation cultivation, rotational renewal, and scaled production with decorative applications for the home. brevi sets product requirements covering physical performance, moisture resistance, and odor control, creating a custom-made Chinese substrate that balances budget, everyday use, and supply stability. Specific requirements, applicable specifications, and batch results follow the relevant product documents, test reports, and delivery records.

Evidence boundary: report Z26W41114 applies only to the stated 18 mm submitted sample. The sample is identified as a qualified ENF-grade product; formaldehyde emission measured 0.015 mg/m³, while benzene, toluene, xylene, and TVOC were not detected. Thickness swelling after 24 hours measured 5.3%; this item provides data only and carries no conformity judgment. Custom requirements for physical performance, moisture resistance, and odor control follow product technical documentation and the records for the actual batch.

Custom Juneng Plywood

Custom-made in China

A 9+2 construction combines nine continuous-core eucalyptus plywood layers with one fine-particle surface layer on each face, helping reduce the influence of engineered-wood surface color on the finished decor. The product uses 100% high-temperature direct lamination in a single forming step without an engineered-wood overlay, reducing the effect of secondary hot pressing on the decorative layer and avoiding the later separation risk created by that overlay interface. This helps the same finish appear more consistent across this plywood and particleboard. Differences may still remain across materials, processes, and batches; confirm the final selection with physical samples from the same batch.

Evidence boundary: report Z26W41116 supports only the stated 18 mm submitted sample and its ENF-grade result. The 9+2 construction, fine-particle surface layers, and direct-lamination process follow the corresponding product technical documentation.

Marine Plywood and High-Humidity Environments

Ordinary interior plywood is not intended for prolonged water exposure. Continuous soaking, repeated wet-dry cycles, or failed edge sealing may lead to swelling, warping, and bond failure. Marine plywood is designed for more demanding wet conditions, but it cannot replace waterproofing, drainage, ventilation, or dehumidification in the space.

How consumers can choose

Address moisture in the space first

For basements, address leaks, ground moisture, and condensation first. For balcony cabinets, kitchens, and bathroom vanities, also check rain exposure, plumbing or sink leaks, routine splashing, and drainage.

Then evaluate the material

Where moisture is controlled, marine plywood can be evaluated together with its product grade, edge sealing, installation, and maintenance. Where repeated water ingress, standing water, or persistent condensation remains, address the space first and then consider other water-resistant materials.

Source boundary: the BSI page explains only the scope of BS 1088:2018. Until product-specific evidence and valid test documentation are published, it does not establish that any brevi product complies with the standard. Even where a product meets the relevant standard, actual durability still depends on edge sealing, waterproof construction, installation, and maintenance.

04

Edge-Banding and Color Coordination

Some finishes can be paired with ABS edge banding, laser edge banding, or color-matched nonwoven materials. Visible differences may remain across materials, processes, and batches; available options and final results follow physical samples and project confirmation.

Craft Philosophy

Look, Touch, and Compare

During production, panel surfaces may be checked through visual review, touch, and batch comparison. Specific inspection items and acceptance criteria follow the relevant quality documents.

A panel may be cut, edge-banded, or installed in a place that is rarely seen, but brevi’s standard does not change with its location. Good craftsmanship is not only what others can see; it is work we can stand behind with confidence.

How we work

How we work

Starting with finished decorative panels, brevi brings together the information that shapes material selection and confirmation.

For each product under consideration, we clarify the relationships between finishes, substrates, surface texture and feel, edge-banding coordination, physical samples, and available documents.

This helps homeowners compare the actual result more clearly, enables designers and showrooms to communicate materials accurately, and gives factories confirmed product information for production review.

From initial screening to order confirmation, each step is based wherever possible on a specific product, physical samples, and verifiable documents rather than images or verbal descriptions alone.

Material assurance

Material assurance for finished decorative panels

Verify environmental indicators through finished-panel reports, color through physical samples, and performance through the corresponding product.

The three published test reports apply respectively to submitted samples of custom moisture-resistant low-odor LSB, imported VECO, and custom Juneng panels; each sample is identified as ENF grade. The findings apply only to the samples, specifications, and items stated in each report and do not represent every substrate or product combination.

brevi uses the finished decorative panel delivered to the client as the basis for quality confirmation, providing verifiable references for environmental indicators, color and surface, and in-use performance.

01
